Books by Jennifer Kane

Books available for online purchase at the links. In 2016 Jennifer Kane researched and authored the Vatican application for title of minor basilica (Quaestionarius Notitiae Ad Titulum Basilicae Minoris Obtinendum) for the Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels in Olean, New York. Pope Francis granted the title, Minor Basilica, to St. Mary’s in 2017. This work has been converted to a beautiful coffee table book accessed at the title link above.

The historical research for the Vatican’s application formed the basis of her latest book, A Place Set Apart, the fully-documented history of the basilica from 1850-1956.

She previously authored the book, A Worthy and Capable Clergyman, on the life of the basilica’s first resident pastor, Rev. John J. Hamel (1850-1912).

Proceeds from book sales go to the Basilica of Saint Mary of the Angels in Olean, NY.

3 Calls for Change in Diocese of Buffalo:

First call to management: Hold diocesan leaders accountable and stop appointing in positions of authority those corrupt diocesan officials identified in the NY State Attorney General’s report.

Second call: Reinstate whistleblower, Rev. Ryszard Biernat, to full and active ministry.

Third call: Consult Catholic laity in our diocese who have not had their objectivity tainted after spending decades as “official” hand-picked lay advisors to the bishops.
